What makes a video successful online? Believe it or not it is not the fancy camera or the fancy music and titles that you use. Here are some tips on how to make a good video on You Tube.

There are millions of videos on You Tube. The first trick is to get your video found by using lots of great keywords in your tags. If you use a lot of related keywords in your tags, you will have a much better chance of being found. The other option is to make a fantastic video that people will view, love and pass on to all of their friends. A lot of videos on You Tube have no great keyword tags, but have many views simply because they are that good.

Try to include one or even all of these characteristics in your You Tube video. If you make sure your video is either funny, gross, weird, shocking, sexy, interesting, inspiring or helpful you will be on the right track.

Here is why the video that you post should be one or all of the above.

Your video should be funny because people just love to laugh. People are always looking for funny things to watch. People also like to share funny things with their friends, so if your video is funny, it will have a greater chance of being shared with others.

People love weird stuff, so an element of weird in your video will get you many views. The stranger, the more interesting the video, and the more people will spread it.

A gross video will earn you many views. Just look at how many people watch fear factor.

Stories of inspiration are also very popular on You Tube. If you can inspire you should really cash in on that skill.

If your video is shocking, it is bound to be a hit on the net. People won't be able to resist watching a video that has been recommended word of mouth.

Sexy as everybody knows has never been a hindrance to selling a product.

Make your video interesting and generate curiosity. If you do this, people will be tempted to click through to your website to see what else you have there. A video that demonstrates how to do something is usually very popular. People are always searching for helpful, free advice and information on the internet. Instructional video's are probably the easiest types of video to make, as you simply need to demonstrate a product or something that you know a lot about.

Give your viewers a piece of yourself by making your video clip personal. People are curious by nature and love to find out all about other people. Be natural and be yourself.
