Learning how to make money fast is something that we all look for. Making £171,000 in a year is something that many of us dream of but very few of us achieve. Well a normal couple have done just that and they did it with no technical skills and you can do it too. The 6 steps are - Identifying a crowd of people who want your product - Testing your idea to see if you can make a profit from it - Developing your product....maybe an e-book - Writing your sales letter - Building your website and set-up a way to collect the money (no technical knowledge required) - Monitoring and fine tuning to maximise results. So this month we will go into more depth on the following - TESTING YOUR IDEA TO SEE IF YOU CAN MAKE A PROFIT FROM IT In general you should test around ten ideas to find one that will make you money. The steps you need to follow are: Choose a very relevant website name. Just visit Google and look up a company that offers a domain naming service. Now is the time to find yourself a suitably descriptive domain that is a great match to your chosen key market. A recommendation I would make is that you stay with .com domains if you are looking to market world-wide. You will also need to find somewhere to host your new website. The people you bought your domain from will probably offer hosting services as well and usually will be discounted if you get it at the same time as your domain. To start with go with the shortest rental period that you can to test your idea. You can always upgrade at a later stage if you need too, if the topic you have selected is a hot one. If you start to build multiple sites on a frequent basis, then you may want to consider a reseller hosting account. This allows you to build multiple websites for a fixed monthly fee and, in the long term, will work out to be better value for money. Remember your objective with all of this is to make easy money. Now make yourself a survey site so that you can start collecting data like e-mail addresses and feedback. Now you need to create a Google AdWords account and campaign. An adwords account means that you can put ads for your website onto Google on a 'pay per click basis'. This means that you get your ad on Google and only pay when someone clicks on your advert and are then taken to your website. You can always review Google's on-line help to get you going. You now need to get stuck in and write up your advert. Google helps here but you will need your keyword list as discussed last month. You will need a headline for your ad. Consider what you would click if you were looking at the Google results for this subject. Consideration should be given to how much you want to pay per click. You need to get some traffic but you don't want to pay too much for this test though you need to be in the top 5. Finally you need to set your daily budget. This limits your exposure so you don't over spend. Remember you are looking to make easy money not spend it! You now need to run your ad for a few days. You are looking for between 100 and 500 clicks per day, this proves you have a good topic. You also want to monitor how many people are completing your survey - an ideal response rate is 5%. Pause your advert if you get these responses. This is very easy to do on Google and then go away to develop your product. This makes sure you do not waste any money. Now compare the results from your ten campaigns and pick the project that generated the most traffic for the cheapest price. In next month's article we will go into - Developing your product - maybe an e-book.
