Fashion Sunglasses - Does Price Equal Quality?

They have been celebrated in song by heavily bearded rock bands, and in store after store, you see spinning racks of them by the checkout stands. What we're talking about here are trendy and inexpensive sunglasses, and what we know is that they are proven popular items. But while these low-cost products may look as good (to the untrained eye) as the wholesale fashion sunglasses they aim to imitate, viewing the world through them may actually do more harm to customers than good.

Perhaps the number-one factor that divides good sunglasses from the not-so-good is the level of protection they offer from ultraviolet or UV rays. UV rays are a naturally occurring light frequency that is capable of doing serious damage to the unprotected retina and cornea. When you wear shades that do not provide UV protection, you risk hurting your eyes more than you might have with no eye protection at all. This is because the dark lens prompts the pupils to open wider, letting more of the harmful rays in.

Anti-glare sunglasses, such as those with polarized lenses, are very popular and are usually not seen on the low-cost rack. Polarized sunglasses work to eliminate horizontal light rays, so that the light reflecting off of high-glare surfaces (such as water or snow) is greatly reduced. They are especially popular among fishermen and those driving long distances, so if your shop caters to either of these types of customers, it's always a good idea to have some higher-end shades on hand.

If you purchase wholesale fashion sunglasses for resale on a regular basis, then you should also know that the more reputable brands are also generally made of better materials. This is one industry where, for the most part, they don't just slap a big name on an inferior product and call it good. The more expensive brands are usually made of more resilient, high-quality plastics and metals, and also use hand-ground lenses that are shatter-proof and free of defects.

A lot of customers stay loyal to their favorite brands, and will gladly pay the extra money for a brand they know and trust - and one that has the look they love. Even most thrifty customers are becoming more and more aware of the need for UV protection, and may not even consider buying shades without them. Some sunglasses are indeed better than others; your customers will appreciate having options when it comes to choosing their eye protection.
