8 Best Cities For Young People: Auto Transporting and Apartment Hunting Included

If you're young and want to see life, there are lots of places to visit and experience. Where you live is very important to your overall happiness. You want to choose a city that you find stimulating and fun, with lots of opportunity. And remember, it doesn't have to be a long term affair - with car transport services and a good mover, you can city hop every five or ten years.

1. New York, NY: This city is still the center of the world, even today. You can find whatever you want here, albeit at a price. Even if you don't plan to spend the rest of your life living here, it's a great way to spend a few years of your youth.

2. Austin, TX: This city has low jobless rates, and living costs well below average. Home to eight universities, you get the college feel, as well as a serious vibe from all the tech industries that call Texas' capital home.

3. Detroit, MI: You may have heard that Detroit is bouncing back. An accelerating auto industry and urban renewal means that the Motor City is fighting to become a premier hotbed for young professionals.

4. Kansas City, MO: The Paris of the Plains is undergoing a $9 billion downtown renovation. Low cost of living and major job opportunities make this city a big up-and-comer. And while public transportation is poor, you can call car transport service to easily move your ride.

5. Chicago, Ill.: This is another major city that is a perennial favorite among the young. With the culture of Manhattan at a much lower price, the only con is the cold winter weather.

6. Charlotte, NC: They have the second largest financial sector in the country after Wall Street and have seen major developments over the past couple of decades. Its reasonable rents and tons of entry-level job offerings make it a great destination for Gen Y'ers. You do need a car, however, but auto transporting isn't too hard.

7. Portland, OR: This northwest city is very culturally vibrant. It has tons of bars, shops and new restaurants. Although rainy, the summers are beautiful. Public transportation and lots of bike lanes make commuting easy.

8. Washington, D.C.: The nation's capital has lots of job opportunities, and although it can be expensive to live in the city center, new young neighborhoods are sprouting in Arlington as well as on the edges of the district.

There may be a couple of other cities you have in mind. Whichever one you choose matters only according to the opportunities it can provide. If it has what you want and you know it, make the jump - life is too short. And although moving can be expensive, if you don't have much stuff and you find some low priced auto transporting, it's definitely worth it.
