Article Marketing Success: 5 Tips To Radically Improve Your Resource Boxes

[Valid RSS feed]  Category Rss Feed - http://www.articlesbacklink.com/rss.php?rss=94

Have you been making the most of the precious resource box that you submit along with your articles?

Or have you been phoning things in, waiting until the last minute to piece together what you think is a passable author bio?

Did you know that your article marketing success is determined by that little resource area?

Yes, it is just a few lines long and extremely tiny compared to your article, but how well you craft your resource box can impact the results of your article marketing campaign.

Do these 5 steps to makeover your author bio and radically improve your article marketing success:

Step #1 - If you do not already have a list of keywords that you are targeting in your resource boxes, you need to get going on that.

TODAY!

These keywords are the phrases that you would like your website to rank highly for in Google, Yahoo, etc. They are usually 2-3 words long, and they are very competitive. This means that there are many people searching for those terms (that is why you want your website to rank highly for them), and there are also many websites competing for top ranking for those phrases.

Get a list of about 10 or so of them to alternate using in your resource boxes.

Step #2 - Acquaint yourself with the information that a stellar author bio contains. A really good bio box includes the following info:

* Your author name. This is not required, but it is recommended. Including your name in your resource area helps to add credibility to your article. It also helps to establish you as an expert in your field.

* Give some biographic information about yourself that will encourage the reader to trust your advice. Why should someone listen to what you say?

* Something that lures the reader into clicking the link in your resource box. What do you have waiting for the reader at your website that is valuable enough to make him click the link?

* And of course, a great resource box also includes a link.

Step #3 - Write a resource box for each of your keywords. Make sure that the keyword fits naturally into the phrasing of your sentences. These key phrases will be used as "anchor text"--that means that they will form a link going back to your website.

Step #4 - When you are writing your resource boxes, also include your written out URL somewhere in the text.

When you create the links in your resource box, you will be using your keywords to form one of the links, but it is also helpful for the reader to see a written out website address.

Seeing the written out link helps your readers to remember where your website is located so that they can find your site even if your article is not in front of them.

Step #5 - If you are using an automatic article submitter, you may have the option of entering all of your author bios into a "resource box manager", which will make it super easy for you to choose a bio box to use with each article. That means that you will just enter your resource box into the article submitter one time, and then with the click of a button you will be able to specify which resource box is used with each article.

Using a resource box that hyperlinks your keywords can dramatically affect your article marketing success, but you need to be careful!

Be sure to alternate the keywords that you use in your resource boxes.

You should have a list of several keywords that you are targeting. Each box should target one keyword. With each article that you submit, alternate which author bio you use.

Employ these 5 steps, and you will radically improve your resource boxes and supercharge your article marketing campaign!
