How To Clean Windows

When talking about cleaning, the very first thing that pops in your head might be a maid service. Using janitorial supplies, they give you a squeaky clean house. Janitorial supply is able to give you a range of cleaning products which you can use to clean your house.

However, when it comes to windows, you need at least once a week cleaning, if you live in a busy city. Therefore, it is better if you know how to clean and maintain the windows with the help of some tips.

The frequency of cleaning the windows mainly depends on the local environment you live in. If you live in a small town where there is hardly any heavy traffic, you would not need to clean the windows so often.

On the other hand, if you are living in a busy city, you require proper cleaning at least once a week, or once in two weeks. This is because big towns involve hustle and bustle, heavy traffic, and pollution. This causes dust and dirt to build up on the windows which can also hinder light from coming inside the room.

Before you start, lay clean rags on the floor. Dripping water from the windows can make the floor very messy.

Take a bucket and fill it with water. Next, add a small amount of detergent. Make sure that you add only a little amount of detergent in the water. This is because too much of it can create too many suds.

Now, take a spongy applicator and immerse it into the soapy water you have just made. With the help of this applicator, scrub the inside of the window panel in back and forth motion. Pay extra attention on the edges of the window panes. This is the area where most dust and grime settles.

Once you are done applying the soapy water on the glass, you need to wash it. Start from the top of the window panel, and rub the sponge down as you remove the soapy water. Repeat this step until the panel is completely clean.

Finally, use a dry rag to wipe out the window frames.

Cleaning the inside panel is an easy task. However the outer panel is not so simple to clean. This is where you need to keep security measures in mind. You might hurt yourself while cleaning the outer panel. Therefore, if you think that you will not be able to do this task, it is better to hire professional services for it.

Now that you have cleaned the windows, you also need to maintain them. Frequent cleaning is necessary if you want to keep the shine. Moreover, the frames also need your attention. Always dust or polish the frames to get a fresh look.

The polish you use for outer frames should also have some preserving element. This is because the outer environment and rain might damage the polish.

Windows are an important feature of your house. Dust and dirt needs to be removed on a regular basis. If allowed to stay for a long while, this might present permanent stains which are unpleasant to the eye.
