Can You Handle The Real Plants?

By : Stewart Wrighter

Fake plants used to come in only a few varieties and you could definitely tell that they were not real. These days, almost everyone buys fake plants instead of real ones because let's face it; it is too much work trying to take care of them. If you are a landscaper or you went to school and learned about plants, you might love taking care of them. If you have no interest in them, then you will not know how to take care of each one specifically. Silk plants and artificial flowers are definitely easier to take care of because, well, you do not have to.

The most common plants people purchase are ivy, decorative grass, and different varieties of flowers and you can find them all in fake versions. You can even get fake plants for outside; even outdoor plants and flowers can be difficult to take care of believe it or not. Even fake Christmas trees are considered fake plants because some people are allergic to real ones. There are many benefits to these types of plants. If you are not allergic to any kinds of flowers and you do not mind taking on the responsibilities of taking care of the plants, there are ways to make sure that you are doing it the right way even if you are not an expert.

Take a book such as a blank notebook, a journal or even type out on your computer all of the plants that you have in your home. When you purchase them, pay attention to their specific names and look them up on the internet. You can make a chart or a list and chart or list out all of the directions for taking care of them such as how much and how often you should water them, and if they need sunlight or not. Some plants need to be kept outside to make sure that they get as much sunlight as they need. Do not water your plants every single day unless they need it either because they might die if you water them too much. Believe it or not, some flowers are so fussy that you cannot get the flower petals wet when you water them so be careful!

There are websites that you can go on which list a lot of common house plants and it lists a lot of tips on how to take care of them as well as where to store them. You can even go to your local garden store where there are many professionals who will know how to take care of them.

If you have certain rooms in your house that get extra sunlight, you can put the plants that need it in there. If you have a room in your house that has no windows, you can keep the plants that need shade in there. There are plants that require completely opposite climates and if it is too much to handle, fake plants are probably the best way to go.
