Our society is very skin conscious and many men and women are often unsatisfied with the way their skin looks. It's a shame, but thankfully there are products out there that can help you with whatever problems you may be having. For example, if you have acne scarring, sun spots or damage or uneven skin tone you might want to consider skin lightening cream or blessing cream for black skin. But what should you be looking for when it comes to these products? Are there any ingredients in black skin care products that you should be wary of? Here, listed below, are a few of the most popular ingredients and chemicals in these creams - some are good, some are not.

- Alpha Arbutin: This is a bio-synthetic active ingredient that is pure, water-soluble and is mass-produced in a powder form. This specific compound is one of the most advanced skin lightening ingredients available so it's a really good idea if you look for products that have this ingredient added to it. Research has proven that not only can this advanced formula be used on ANY skin types, but that it's also one of the strongest regulatory additives as well. This results in a skin whitening product that works faster and more expeditiously than present single constituents.

- Hydroquinone: This is a bad bad ingredient. Please try to stay away from products that have this as an additive. Not only is it a hardened chemical used for things such as developing film, but it is also banned in most countries around the globe. Chances are if you find a product that has this in it - it's really nothing to get excited about. Run away! Symptoms of a serious hypersensitivity chemical reaction include: rash, itching, severe puffiness, vertigo, problems breathing. If you notice other issues not listed above, contact your doctor or chemist.

- Vitamin C: Since this is an organic and naturally produced ingredient - it's actually quite good for you. Vitamin C is not only a natural anti-oxidant, but it can also reduce melanin and provide a good result when used with a shin lightening cream. Other forms of Vitamin C include; l-ascorbic acid, magnesium ascorbic phosphate and sodium ascorbyl phosphate. When these forms of the Vitamin C are utilized in a product, it can help slow down or stop hyperactive melanocytes or hyperpigmentation which will result in lighter skin!

- Glycolic Acid: Generally used as a natural skin exfoliant and moisturizer. This acid not only evens out skin discoloration, but also helps minimize fine lines and wrinkles. Glycolic Acid can assist other ingredients in skin lighteners by allowing them to penetrate farther into the skin. Of course other ingredients in ANY skin care products such as black skin care products can include natural or chemical compounds. Pretty much anything that grows on Mother Earth is going to be safe to use on your skin such as Aloe, Acai, Guava, Avocados, Honey, Milk, Tea, Tea Leaves, even sugar - which is used as a scrub to wash away dirty or clogged pores, dead skin, dry skin, etc. A lot of people also use sugar or salt compounds as a way to get softer hands and feet as well. As always, it's important that you make sure you aren't allergic to ANY ingredients - natural or not. So if possible speak to your doctor beforehand! Better to be safe than to be sorry!
