Review Video Phone

Looking to buy a video phone? It can be tough there is lots of information out there and you could end up paying too much.

By definition a videophone means A telephone equipped for both audio and video transmission.

For some though it means much more. It means you can communicate and see your family. If you are in full time work or are separated or just busy - high flying executive - a video phone can become the best way to remain in touch and to 'see' your kids, friends and loved ones.

Imagine being able to say goodnight to your child or read them a quick bedtime story while you are at work or on business interstate. Priceless!

I set about the seek out the best deal and I don't mean just price. There are other important factors:

1. Customer Service - being responsive and quick to answer questions i had about the video phone was important because I know that their customer service would be good.

2. Price - I didn't want to pay anymore than $200. I had budgeted and i wanted to stick to it and i did not want to be sold anything I did not need.

3. I wanted it to be portable - I was not always at home or in the office I was often of business trips and working remotely so I needed to be able to take it with me. Otherwise what's the use?

I had some good and some bad experiences. Video phones from Doss 7 were good but even half price were $250+. Leadtik was exactly what I wanted but was over twice what i wanted to spend. The video phone I ended up buying was from a well known company and within my budget and because of the fact that their customer service was excellent. The phone had exactly the features I wanted without being too technical and I appreciated the customer service person being focused on my satisfaction rather than making a sale which was refreshing. I could take the phone anywhere and plug it in and if someone called my local number they would come through to the phone. Groovy!

I found finding the best video phone was a little frustrating but if you focus on customer service you can't go wrong.
