And some colors are even considered lucky or welcoming, so you create double the impact just by painting the front door. This also saves you time and money in the long run because freshening up the paint on a door is much less than an entire porch or your whole house. When choosing a door color, take a paint swatch of your home with you so you are sure to match up a color that complements the look of the entire house. A final change you can make is adding an accent with a unique mailbox. Adding paint or stencil a pattern to an existing box will brighten things up and make it pop. You can also go all out and get a whole new box. They come in just about every size, shape, style, and color, so determine what will work best for your incoming mail and choose a box that suits your home. Just by changing a few small accessories on the exterior of your house can make a big difference.
