One of the best list building secrets is to use article sites as your own personal list building software. Here is how you can use article sites to work for you in building a mailing list. Most people enjoy doing article marketing for the increased exposure to their sites. Using article sites is a great long term strategy, but as a lot of them no longer accept affiliate links, it is getting harder to make salse from your articles. When most people visit a website from a link that they have clicked on via an article, they will normally take a quick look around, and vow to come back later, but they hardly ever return, and in this way you have lost a prospect or sale forever. Even though you have had the advantage of a quick increase in your traffic stats, it is all for nothing in the end. Use your articles to drive prospects to a squeeze page, or an opt in box on your website, so that prospects can sign up for further updates from you. You can sweeten the pot by offering some free bonus's, and in that way you will be able to build a relationship with your visitors, and perhaps get them to buy at a later stage. Make sure that the articles that you use relate to the subject of the squeeze page for higher conversions. A good strategy is also to have an exit pop up as the visitor leaves the site to ask them to leave their details for a bonus or to be kept updated on new developments on your website. Successful internet marketers all have massive opt in email lists that they have built for themselves. There are lots of sites that you can join and promote online today, and even though you might be getting sales, you are in actual fact building up somebody else's list for them. Start thinking about yourself for a change, and by having your own list, in the long run you will do so much better. Internet marketers must always work on building their lists as a first priority. It is always easier to sell to an existing customer than it is to get new customers, and people will normally purchase from somebody they know and trust, rather than a complete stranger.
