Start Building That Opt In Mailing List

By : Michel Maling

Building a list should be the number one priority for internet marketers. Without a good opt in mailing list that you have built up yourself, you will forever struggle to get sales, one at a time.

Here are some steps to take to start building your opt in mailing list as fast as possible.

1. Sign up with an Autoresponder

This is a must, as you need this to send messages to your list and keep a record of your list. Doing this manually can only give you gray hair, as it will be impossible to keep up with the sending of sequential emails, and remembering who has seen what offer.

2. Get a Domain Name and Hosting for Your Domain Name

It is another must for all internet marketers. You need a place to host your website/s and squeeze pages, as well as the free gifts that you offer your subscribers.

3. Get a Free Product to Promote

When looking for a free product, look for something that is related to your niche. Don't give away a free product about Disney Land if your emails are going to promote dog training tips. Keep your free products targeted to the type of list that you want to build.

4. Get a Squeeze Page Going

Your squeeze page is where your potential subscriber comes when he signs in to receive the free gift. You can either outsource this, or build a simple one for yourself.

5. Write your first Autoresponder Message

Your first message should be a welcome to your list and a download for your subscriber to download his product (remember to highlight the download). Write out a couple of messages to start with, so that you have something to send your first few subscribers. Don't just spam your list, send them helpful advice and tips.

6. Sign up to as Many Giveaway Sites as you can

This will be an ongoing process. Your list will grow a lot faster if you spend more time advertising. Don't forget to create a folder on your computer to help you keep track of this. Next you will need to promote the giveaways on an ongoing basis.

You will need to make an investment in starting this type of internet business, and you won't see a return straight away, but in the end it will all be worth it. The investment will be a small monthly contribution, but could mean huge profits for you at the end of the day.

If you are looking at building your list without having to get hosting or a domain name, visit my website and opt in for more information. I will also send you a free ebook on list building to help you build your list as quickly as possible.
