Are you currently engaged in a very stressful job? Do you have a nagging boss that always makes you jump to your feet with anxiety the moment he steps into the office? Do you have a daily workload that is enough to make five people busy for an entire week? Do you often find yourself working more than forty hours a week just to get everything completed on time? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, it will not be surprising if you will experience generalized anxiety disorder symptoms soon. You should either see a psychiatrist right away or quit your job and look for a less stressful one. A number of factors can trigger anxiety, one of them is the exposure to a high level of stress. When you are given more tasks than you can handle, you may start feeling the fear of not being able to live up to someone's expectations and in turn start to panic. Anxiety and panic attacks have different degrees and levels. Sometimes, when a person feels anxious, he or she may be able to control it by looking for something to make him relaxed. However, there may come a point that a person is unable to address anxiety and this could lead to the development of anxiety disorder. What are the generalized anxiety disorder symptoms? How would you be able to identify if the anxiety you are feeling is still normal or whether it is time to seek medical assistance and professional help? One way to find out is when you start feeling that you are not in control of the situation anymore. Symptoms may differ on a case-to-case basis. In most cases though, people with anxiety disorder feel that the situation is out of control, and they go through a high level of anxiety which leads them to consider hurting themselves or others in order to gain control of the situation. One other indication of anxiety disorder is the excessive irritation a person gets when faced with a stressful situation. When a person feels threatened and becomes anxious, there is a tendency to fight it off by being extremely angry or very irritable to the people around him. This serves as a way for the person to fight off or avoid the people and the things that make him anxious. On top of that, it is also likely that the person with anxiety disorder may feel that confronting other people around him is the only way to gain control of the situation. There are other generalized anxiety disorder symptoms that may manifest in some people, but not in others. Consulting a medical expert immediately is crucial when a person goes through any extreme feeling of anxiety or panic whenever a stressful condition takes place. That way, any chances of suffering from anxiety disorder can be dealt with using an appropriate treatment. If it is your job that is causing you a lot of stress, you can either live with it or look for a less stressful option.
