Taking a charter bus service somewhere is pretty exciting. You're surrounded by friends, colleagues or classmates, and you have that special anticipation that you get when you know you're going someplace new. You're hitting the road, getting out of your usual environment, and you have the chance to relax and just enjoy the ride for a few hours.
There are lots of things you can do to make your charter bus service ride especially memorable and fun: bring plenty of snacks on board (keep a hold of those Skittles though so they don't tumble down the aisles), card games, and, of course, movies. Nothing beats a good movie on a New York charter bus service, and, while Disney and end-of-the world flicks like Independence Day are always entertaining, nothing beats watching a bus-themed movie on board a charter bus service.
Next time you're taking a charter bus service, consider playing one of these bus movies on board:
1. Speed - This may be the quintessential bus movie of the 90s, and you've all seen it before. In this flick, a crazy terrorist named Howard Payne, played by Dennis Hopper, plants a bomb on an LA public transport bus full of passengers. If the bus slows down, it'll blow up, killing everyone on board. The passengers' only hope is the very hot Keanu Reeves, an LAPD police officer who gets on board to keep the bus speeding through the highways and streets of LA. The lovely Sandra Bullock is on board too to help maintain the speed. It's exciting - and romantic - viewing that'll keep everyone glued to the charter bus service television screen for 116 minutes.
2. Little Miss Sunshine - This movie centers on an endearingly ailing old yellow Volkswagen T2 Microbus owned by a dysfunctional family, the Hoovers, who live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Seven-year-old Olive is set on attending a beauty pageant in California, so the whole family - Olive and her mom Sheryl, dad Richard, and gothic brother Dwayne who refuses to speak - piles into the bus, along with Sheryl's homosexual brother Frank, who recently tried to commit suicide, and Richard's foul-mouthed father, played by Alan Arkin. As you can imagine, this all makes for an interesting journey, especially when the bus's brakes begin to play up.
3. A League of Their Own - In this movie, you'll see members of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League on their New York charter bus, traveling from one city to the next to play baseball and entertain the crowds at baseball stadiums during World War II, when all the men are off to war. The League takes off, and soon, it's time for the Championship game of the World Series, featuring rival teams the Rockford Peaches against the Racine Belles. The film contains an all-star cast - Geena Davis, Lori Petty, Tom Hanks, Madonna, and Rosie O'Donnell - and is sure to have you on the edge of your charter bus service seat, cheering and weeping.
