There are many reasons why a woman cannot conceive when she is trying to have a child. Some of these reasons may involve her fallopian tubes or the fact that her eggs are just not viable. There is, however, help at hand in the form of experts who have undertaken to study this problem which often brings women to tears when nature does not take its course. For help with all kinds of problems connected to child-bearing, try looking for 'ivf' or 'infertility' on the internet to see what is available close at hand. In this day of 'thin is in' many women do not realize that they are damaging themselves beyond belief. Those who over train in the quest for a pencil thin body often have problems in conceiving a child. What they do not realize is that woman was made to carry some excess so that her body had enough energy for a child to be conceived. Women athletes, who train severely, have often found that they have some problems conceiving and this is what alerted doctors to the concept. They then studied anorexic individuals and found that they too could not conceive easily and this pointed the way for a nutrition and body weight index. Indeed, even something as simple as a woman constantly flying between time zones is enough to put the body off kilter and cabin crew who want to get pregnant have had to slow down their work to do just that. Considering that this is a completely natural occurrence with most women, those who have problems often suffer severe depression because of it. To tell a human being that they cannot have something is like a challenge and women often suffer greatly when their family members around them all have children very easily. So in cases like this, the doctors and clinics have to take some drastic action to help her to get what she wants. One of the most common methods to conceive, other than naturally, is in vitro fertilization, where an egg is taken from the woman and fertilized by sperm taken from her partner or a donor. However, it is sometimes not this simple and many tests may be carried out before it gets to this stage. Many women feel that it is their fault when they cannot have a baby but these clinics are there to find out if it is her or the partner that has a problem. Indeed, some men have low sperm counts or 'lazy' sperm which just does not reach the egg in time for ovulation. When this happens, she may have to resort to donor sperm to allow the couple to conceive. This donation is usually applied through the natural route and pregnancy can ensue. However, for those who have problems on both sides, even the egg can be donated too and then implanted into the woman for a 'normal' pregnancy. Oddly enough, it is men who usually have some kind of emotional response to donated sperm but clinic specialists normally counsel him first.
