This will most likely be the biggest day of your life, at least to date. It may seem like there are a million things to do, but luckily, with the help of this article you won't be overwhelmed. 1. Wedding Gown: Which gown you choose sets the tone for the entire wedding. It should be something that makes you look ravishing, but which also makes you feel able and beautiful. 2. Registry: This is something that you will be glad for when all is said and done. For the wedding itself, ask for gifts that are large and small, since some people may not be able to afford bigger items. Ask for items that will fit well together, and choose a store that is one of your favorites. Don't forget the thank you notes at the end. 3. Bridal Showers and Pre-wedding Parties: Choose a theme that expresses what you want. It could be lingerie or linen, or even gardening supplies - whatever you need for your new life, see to it that you express your desires. It may be a good idea to choose vinyl banner printing with your name and your fiance's together. You can re-use the printed banners at the shower, the rehearsal dinner, and the wedding too. At the pre-parties, make sure that there is sufficient refreshment and entertainment. 4. Makeup and Photos: You will probably require a hairdresser and makeup artist for the big day. It will take at least an hour for your hair to be curled and makeup applied, whereby you will proceed to the ceremony for photos. This will probably take another hour. Professional wedding photographers are a good idea for many. If you are having a huge wedding, you may even want a wedding planner to assist with minutiae. 5. Flowers: You will need corsages, bouquets and color sprinkled everywhere if you really want to have a beautiful wedding. The effect of a few flowers is uplifting for everyone, and helps to set the tone for your perfect day. 6. Food: You will probably want to have your wedding catered. For your rehearsal dinner you can have as formal an occasion as you desire, at a restaurant or at a home. Traditionally, the groom's parents are financially responsible. A bridal brunch is a great time for the bride to host her closest family and friends who have come from far away and want to see her intimately. Similarly, the wedding breakfast is often hosted by a close friend or neighbor for the same purpose. It is a full time job to plan a wedding on your own. Don't feel bad about asking friends and family for help. There are many things to remember, and certain protocols to follow. And of course, talk to your affianced if you need advice. Keep communication flowing about the wedding for a great way to begin your new life as a team.
